Auckland, NZ in 2010

  1. Really creeeeaative decoration for Mother’s Day by Whitcoulls.
Whitcoulls is a New Zealand retail chain selling books, magazines, stationeries and gifts. It is basically everywhere in NZ.

Post-it of pink and yellow were on the shop window and people could write their personal messages to mums. I guess this kind of event is only possible in few countries (like NZ!) as they are displayed outside the shop. I was surprised by how poeple respect this decoration and participate in the event rather than removing them out or playing by destroying them.

2. Chestnut picking.
It was fun time picking chestnut and removing the shells. Cannot remember where it was exactly but was not far from Auckland city.

3. Chinese food.
Indeed, it was New Zealand where I got the liking of Chinese food from yum cha to hotpot to meat skewers. Seasoned skewers with friends and beer means happiness = in no time, you are left with just sticks. It is best to have a Chinese friend with you as they can order for you in their native language some very unique skeweres like tenderloins and some I do not even know the name until today….
