My dentist found two teeth with decay while doing regular check and scaling.

When I was younger, the sound of drills, the smell of alcohol and ground powder, the sharp pain of having sensitive teeth were the scary things. Today, it is different. What scares me the most now is the bill. My hard earn money 💰 going out in one nano second. The pain can be soothed by anesthesia but my bank balance will be bottom low for weeks until my next pay day.

One tooth especially is quite serious and need an immediate fix. It needs to be crowned even. Another one not so urgent, this can wait until my next pay day. Not knowing my breaking heart, my dentist assured me the crown will be zirconia and look very natural just like my own. Ohkayyy… zirconia sounds expensive… maybe I need to grow up and stop complaining because Korea has one of the best medical insurance system and dental cost is considered to be very good but apparently crown is not covered in the insurance. Still low (at least compared to USA).

Also Korean service is super fast. Straight after finding the decay, informing me of the urgency to treat one tooth first and its price, next thing you know is anesthesia and drilling, temporary filling until your crown arrives and you are ready to go home in 10-20minutes.

And the bill. Haha
