I has been a while since my last post. It is hard to change a person, I tend to start off new things with so much energy and excitement, then the passion fades some time later.
Though there are always new words for me to learn, to keep English alive. Language is something that fades from you if you don’t use it daily.
Astride: 1. with a leg on each side of. 2. extending across.
I cannot quite get the picture of this vocabulary from the dictionary definitions. When I search do google images, I find horses… Why would that be…?

It is a preposition, I guess this is because the way you sit on a horse is ‘astride’, with a leg on eaach side of the horse, just like a bicycle.
When I changed the google image search key words to ‘astride meaning’ instead of ‘astride’, very funny to spot one page that has slides on genitourinary trauma… hahaha… Going to remember this word for sure!
